Close Your Eyes. Let Go of Guilt.

“Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do.” - Voltaire

Or not. Guilt is an illusion, meaning its not actually real. Meaning that our minds make it up by prescribing meaning to something that happened that ought not to have meaning. As humans, we say this is good! this is bad! but really, it's just a choice of how you perceive things.

A Course in Miracles states that there is no cause for guilt and being causeless it does not exist. Mistakes happen. We eff up. We could have done things differently and we didn’t. We dropped the ball. It’s all okay. It’s all divine. Learn from it, process it, and move on.

Your mind will keep you trapped with guilt. Its another way that our ego mind - the part of us that is designed to keep us safe, small, and stuck - will keep you exactly there… using all your energy to flip and flop over a situation that already happened. Ask yourself instead: what could i have done differently here? Write it down, and then let it go. Forgive yourself. Since the guilt was made in your mind in the moment you decided to believe it - it can also be released in the moment you choose to see the situation differently.

We are human. We make mistakes. The path is never linear, and is designed with twists and turns designed to catapult our growth. Let that shit go.
